Crow Holdings Appoints Next CEO
LevyCrow Holdings has appointed Michael Levy to CEO. Levy will succeed Harlan Crow, an American real estate developer and the son of renowned real estate mogul Trammell Crow, who for nearly 30 years has served as chairman and CEO of Crow Holdings.

Levy served as COO for Morgan Stanley Investment Management's $400 billion asset management platform prior to joining Crow Holdings' senior leadership team last year following an extensive global search by the firm. In his 18 years with Morgan Stanley, he also served as the firm's head of traditional asset management, COO and CFO of real estate investments, and co-head of U.S. real estate investment banking.

DePizzol Jumps from CBRE to NKF
DePizzolSam DePizzol, a 20-year tenant representation broker in Denver, made the jump this week from CBRE Group to Newmark Knight Frank.

DePizzol has represented some of Denver's biggest companies, including AECOM and Gates Corp., and specializes in energy and law firm tenant rep.

JLL Adds Burdette, Expanding National Industrial Practice
BurdetteJLL bolstered its integrated national industrial capital markets team with the addition of Britton Burdette as managing director of the company's Atlanta office. Burdette will oversee the company's industrial capital markets business throughout the Southeast.

Formerly a director at Stan Johnson Co., Burdette brings more than a decade of experience to JLL. He has a real estate broker license in Georgia, South Carolina, New Mexico and Oregon.

Avison Young Begins Search to Replace Kennedy, Stepping Down as Managing Director in Austin
Avison Young Opens New Office in San Jose
vonThadenAvison Young continued its aggressive expansion with the launch of Avison Young San Jose / Silicon Valley, marking the firm's fourth office in the Bay Area and its 11th location in California.

Gregg von Thaden (pictured, left) has been brought in to lead the new office as its managing director and principal. Formerly an executive vice president at Colliers International, the 29-year commercial real estate industry veteran and longtime Colliers executive will drive company initiatives throughout San Jose and Silicon Valley, as well as secure new business and cultivate client relationships. Also set to join the new office from Colliers are Brian Mason and Ryan Slater (pictured, right), who have each been named principals of Avison Young.

McNamara Joins Kidder Matthews
McNamaraSean McNamara has joined Kidder Matthews as a vice president. Based in the firm's Portland, OR office, McNamara will specialize in sales and leasing of industrial properties throughout the metropolitan area.

McNamara was previously at Capacity Commercial Group, where he worked with tenants, landlords, buyers and sellers with their industrial sale and leasing needs as well as 1031 exchanges.

Transwestern Hires Director of Sustainability for Asset Services
RichardsTranswestern has hired Josh Richards, LEED AP, EMIT, as director of sustainability for its asset services group. Operating out of the firm's Houston office, Richards will drive sustainability initiatives, including improving building performance, reducing utilities usage and maximizing operational savings for Transwestern's more than 225 million-square-foot managed portfolio.

Richards joins Transwestern after having led the sustainability program at First Potomac Realty Trust. In that role, he developed and implemented energy and sustainability programs, managed LEED certification projects and established standard operating procedures for sustainability initiatives related to waste management, cleaning and alternative transportation. He also previously worked as an environmental scientist at OmniSystems and as a climate strategist at Conservation International.

JAG Expands Asset Management Group in NoVa Headquarters
IkelerWill Ikeler has been hired as an asset manager at Jefferson Apartment Group (JAG). Based in JAG's Northern Virginia headquarters, Ikeler will look to maximize the company's portfolio values, assisting in all aspects of the financial, capital and operations of JAG's portfolio, as a member of the asset management group.

Prior to joining JAG, Ikeler spent three years as part of a senior team within Stanford University's real estate group, a platform responsible for managing Stanford's non-academic commercial land endowment, which totals more than 14 million square feet and is valued at $4.5 billion. Before that he served as a senior financial analyst with the Mid-Atlantic real estate investment banking team at JLL. He also previously served as a senior research analyst with CoStar Group.

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer Adds Nicholson
NicholsonCushman & Wakefield Thalhimer will expand its coverage in Hampton Roads following the addition of Sam Nicholson as a commercial sales-leasing associate. Based in the firm's Virginia Beach, VA office, Nicholson will specialize in industrial leasing and sales as a member of the industrial services group.

Nicholson joins Cushman & Wakefield Thalhimer after having interned on Capitol Hill with a lobbying firm. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in history from Florida State University.
